The module is now based on the 4.2.0 Font Awesome iconset. I'd like to know if en how I can install the latest/newer version. Could anyone help me?

You can follow this comment from another issue.

Then you just move the content of the unzipped file to fontawesome folder : .../libraries/fontawesome/.
