When a node has the pathauto disabled, it would good that the alias deletion ignore such contents. When a pathauto is disabled, usually means that user has included a custom URL for that content.
Of course, it maybe is not a generic situation, so it would be better if the module would ask when to delete or not such aliases.
I have tried to figure out in which method should I work to create a patch, with no success... if you think is a good idea and can give me some guidance, I will try to create a patch.
