I am currently working on building my site on the Acquia Dev Desktop.

Besides the fact that I'm new at this drupal stuff its taking a terribly long time because many times when I refresh the page it just hangs and doesn't load or it loads this error message...

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator at admin@example.com to inform them of the time this error occurred, and the actions you performed just before this error.

It's horribly annoying. Any suggestions?

Well, I'd suspect that "More information about this error may be available in the server error log." :)

Look at your apache error logs.

I suppose that was painfully obvious lol. Where do I find this server error log?

I could tell you, but I'd have to find out the same way I'm going to tell you to - by googling 'acquia dev desktop apache error log location'

I think that you would be as surprised as I am how hard it is to find by googling. I've still found nothing. especially not pertaining to drupal 8
