Looking for an enhancement to the FullCalendar module for Drupal 7, which I am using with Views.

https://www.drupal.org/project/fullcalendar

By default, in the settings for a FullCalendar view– the module allows you to either set a specific start date for the display of the calendar– or use the default date, which is always today.

The modification I am looking to make is pretty simple, I think... as I want to leave the above functionality exactly as it is– but just supplement it with some additional code, that checks for the machine name, of the view.

And if it matches something like view_next_week or view_next_month, for example– then it sets the default date for the display of the calendar accordingly, by simply setting the desired value of this variable, in the code.

This would allow for dynamic FullCalendar views... and by dynamic I mean a view whose calendar displays next week or next month, for example– not just limited to today's date, or a set, fixed date.

This enhancement can be done either by patching the module itself, or writing a small custom module to provide the desired functionality, which overrides FullCalendar.

––> I am willing to pay a nice cash bounty to get this done, ASAP.

If you feel this i something that you can accomplish, please message me thru Drupal.org, or email me direct at: vincent @ basicmagic.net

––> And I will add to this post, as comments- a few screencaps and snippets of code from the FullCalendar module, that shows where I believe the defult date variable is being set, for any given view– and where I think any code that wants to override it, should go...

Thank you for your possible assistance!

Good news- thanks to the brilliant work of Peter Lindstrom of LiquidCMS, we not only found the solution we needed, but have made his patch available to the Drupal community as a suggested improvement to the module, here-
