Using Drupal v8.1.1.
I have created a view with two RSS displays, one called "Advert Feed" and one called "Basic Page Feed" corresponding to my custom "Advert" content type and the default "Basic Page" content type. The advert feed has the path set to "/content/advert.rss" and the basic page feed has the path "/content/basic-page.rss".
My problem is that both displays are creating a RSS feed that has and xml:base of http://drupal:8888/content/advert.xml. If my limited understanding of XML is correct then the xml:base should be the root of the content contained in the feed, so shouldn't this be a directory rather than a file? If it should be a file then surely the "Basic Page Feed" display should be generating an rss feed with an xml:base of http://drupal:8888/content/basic-page.xml but it isn't.
I would be very grateful if someone could tell me if I am mistake or doing something wrong.
Thanks,
Tom

check if your view is a page rather than feed rss
I see the same issue occuring with my install of views rss (7x-2.0-rc4) and figured out it was that I had added a new view created as a page so it added the page URL to the xml:base
