The usage of the word "Type" as it refers to Animals in farmOS is confusing. Some people aren't sure what the intended difference between "Animal Group" and "Animal Type" is. I propose changing it to "Animal Species/Breed" so that it is more clear what it's for.

m.stenta@NitinSP: I see that you assigned this to yourself. I actually have a working pass done on this already - I wanted to tell you before you put any time into it.
If you're interested in working on farmOS development, please feel free to get in touch! You can use my contact form (https://www.drupal.org/user/581414/contact) or find me in the #farmOS IRC chat room: http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=#farmOS There are plenty of things to work on! :-)

m.stentaThis is done in the 7.x-1.x development branch. I decided to simply change all the labels in the UI to "Species/Breed(s)", but I did not change the underlying machine names used (still "type"). I actually still like the idea of just calling it "type" in the background, and letting "Species/Breed" be more of the human-readable label.
Maybe I'll do the same thing with Crops in #2586841: Rename "Crop" to "Crop/Variety" (but in that case, it might make sense to change "crop" to "type" in the code for consistency).

m.stentaMoving old issues to the canonical farmOS project for easier searching. Apologies for email spam if anyone is following these. :-)
