I have converted the Shared Email module for Drupal 8. This is my first time working on a module that I would like to submit back to the community. Could someone help me with what I need to do to release the code to the community?

You should open a ticket for the module, or post in any existing D8 port ticket for the module. If you are willing to maintain the module you can contact existing maintainers asking if they want help. If they don't respond to your ticket or private messages it gets more difficult. Hopefully they will.
