Year display links not rendered when Day display is disabled

Hello,

I've created a calendar view using the default template. I found that when I disable the Day display, the hyperlinks to content on the Year display no longer appear. That doesn't seem right, am I missing something obvious?

I tried changing the display format from Calendar to HTML List and Calendar Entities to Fields, and the date content was displayed. So the underlying content is there, it's just that the links in the year view are just not being generated/rendered.

My use case is for a tabbed Month, Year and a Page as HTML List of important dates. The Day and Week view aren't required.
