Billing Profile has fields "Contact name" and "Company " included.
In many cases these fields would be preferred as part of "Account Settings" or "Personal / Business information". Thus an option for removing these fields from Billing Profile is very desirable.
it is more useful to have fields "Contact name" and "Company " included in Shipping Profile instead of Billing Profile.

A billing address always includes the name and (optionally) the company. When processing credit card payments the name is the cardholder name.

This is why the Address field is locked and can't be edited to remove the columns.

In most e-commerce systems, Name and Surname are part of account holder registration and are not included in Billing profile (billing Name is the same as account holder Name), while the Shipping could be to a different Name/Company/Address.

It's curious to me that this is set to Fixed when nothing was done. It seems more like a Closed (Won't fix) to me. It's understandable why the field is locked, but it makes it nigh impossible to adjust the other field settings, such as the description.

Update to Commerce 2.7 and you'll find the field unlocked.
