Nill DB entrees for multiple fields

Installing the june 15th dev version gives the following problem.

If I use a cck multiple date field all the fields are written to the database table.
So if you have 3 inputfield but you only fill 2 fields, all 3 fields will be written to the db.
The value for the open fields will be NULL.

The version before this one only stored the fields that were used.
