hi, im new to this drupal and drupal community. please be bare with me. Thank you!

I'm trying to build a social website with drupal commons. i'm trying to set up groups. so that user can join the group by sending request "join group" botton. however i'm not able to make the non-member user to be able to see the "join group" link even with they are in a trusted contact relation. the only way i can see the "join group" bottom is by login as administrator. i searched all the possible answer in the community. mostly they are related with OG group setting. Also in the content type-> group -> manage display -> group -> format, i used OG subscribe link. It didnt work, so i start looking for permission issues. i couldn't find out anything related to this "join group" . i also looked OG permission as well. no use. i know drupal commons use its own commons group module. but it also come with organic group module. And there are some funtion from OG has been overwrite by commons group module, like this one in pic#1.

So, what i need is make user can see "join group" botton, like admin can see and send request to join group notification to group creator. but dont want it's function like admin "join group". Because it will bypass the request part, directly join group without approval.

where should i look next? Thank you for your time.
