It looks like this has come up and has been addressed before, however I set up on a new installation today the Media module 7.x-2.x-dev version along with the File Entity module 7.x-2.x-dev version and the dev version of WYSIWYG (7.x-2.x-dev) and the web upload tab is not respecting the settings from the file-settings page.

Steps:

Installed WYSIWYG
Installed Media
Installed File_Entity

Also Enabled Media Internet Sources, Media WYSIWYG and Media WYSIWYG View Mode

Visited admin/config/media/file-settings and checked all three boxes to skip the steps in the file upload wizard

File Upload Wizard Settings

Visited config/content/formats/filtered_html and checked the option to "Convert Media tags to markup" and saved

Visited admin/config/content/wysiwyg/profile/filtered_html and Selected the "Media Browser" button and saved

Uploading works fine:
Upload field
2nd page

Different Story on web tab

file from url
Url Upload Page 2
Url Upload Page 3
url upload Page 4
Url upload Page 5

Maybe I'm missing something obvious, but I can't find anything obvious?

Have you find any fix for that ? Or Are you able to show any video added from "Web" tab inside the wysiwyg editor itself. ?

Recent versions of media have resolved most of peoples concerns and is compatible with entity translation, multilingual and various advanced configurations. Due to the high volume of inactive and most often irrelevant issues we are Closing this as (outdated). If for whatever reason this issue is important to you AND you still have issues after checking the media recipe documentation, then let us know and we will review your concerns.

Otherwise, see the recipe documentation for how to configure media and for troubleshooting tips OR refer to the media_dev distribution if you want to see a working media setup.

As mentioned, feel free to make some noise in this issue if you still feel it is important to you or someone else.
