We , "The Drupal Geeks" http://www.drupalgeeks.com/ , a subsidiary of Ameex
Technologies http://www.ameexusa.com/ are planning to run a codesprint-
module porting to D8 in the early weeks of May. From our initial analysis ,
we see that Custom token is widely used in Drupal websites . Porting the
module to D8 is the need of the hour and we would be happy to do the same as
a part of the sprint. I will be taking ownership for the module and keeping
you posted about it. Just wanted to know if anyone already started on this,
is it on github?
Thanks,
Santhosh Fernando(Aaron23)

Aaron23 CreditAttribution: Aaron23 at Ameex-Drupal Geeks for Ameex-Drupal Geeks commentedSince I am not able to contact the maintainer, am unable to release D8 version officially. I have updated the issue queue with my git sandbox project. Can someone advise or help me to release this as a new module.

hanoii@Aaron23, as I explained on the related issue, I did reply to you and never got back, and was never pointed to this thread either. I don't like the way this was handled, but we can follow that up on the related issue, leaving this one for the contrib tracking.
