Learn about the many benefits of Drupal 10 and find migration tools in our resource center.Mailchimp has the ability to "Send to a group or new segment" based on several variables. For example, I can send a campaign to subscribers who have purchased a certain product.
It would be great to see this functionality built into the Drupal module. This, especially in combination with Rules, would give tremendous flexibility in sending campaigns and targeting subscribers.

We don't have any immediate plans to add segment creation, but if you're interested in creating a patch we can definitely review it for inclusion. I'd suggest adding a new "Segments" tab to the MailChimp admin pages and allowing users to manage custom segments there.
We are just about to release a new version of the MailChimp module with support for the 3.0 MailChimp API, so it might be worth waiting for that. It'll be released for D7 and D8 in the next week or so.
