Help text of location field not translated

I am unable to translate the help text of a location.

Every thing else is translated correctly.
cleared cache
updated translations
Changed string to retrigger save action and so.
nothing helped

Only the original string is displayed.

Some specifics:
The location field is a member of a field collection and displayed on the user registration form.
Everything is latest stable version.

My current work around, add the help text in the field label between brackets.
