I did a stupid thing in a site I’m mocking up for a customer. As a still-new-to-Drupal-Development kinda guy, I wasn’t paying attention…. I’ve got the site mock-up running locally (using Acquia Dev Desktop), and I used a theme from the Download & Extend area (Nexus). When I got it starting to look right, and while adding/deleting block elements from the screen, I removed the log in function by accident, and while previewing the site as a logged-out user, I realized I can’t get back into the admin area to continue work.

In case it should matter, I’m working on a Mac, with 7.2.34 Drupal using a Commerce QuickStart starting point that I’ve now customized with a few simple menu’s, the Nexus theme, and some block movements, but no added self-written code - only the supplied CQ modules.

Before I throw myself off the bridge of redoing all the work I’ve done by creating a new site, I thought I’d check here and see if there’s a way to recover the admin area of a site? I tried site name/?q=admin, but that didn’t work. Is the work lost and a lesson learned, or can I just learn the lesson without the pain?

Any help is GREATLY appreciated!

Thanks!

Mike

I'd be surprised if there were many Drupal developers who didn't go through that exact same scenario! (I know I did)

I felt silly asking the question but it proves the power of Drupal that it can even save me from myself…..
