Release notes

Drupal Upgrade (migrate_upgrade) provides web and drush front-ends for performing a complete upgrade of a Drupal 6 or 7 site to Drupal 8. Because the web UI has been added to Drupal core for 8.1 and later releases, this version of Drupal Upgrade is only compatible with Drupal 8.0.x - the 8.x-2.x branch of this module (containing only the drush support) will be needed for Drupal 8.1 and later. Note that the drush support should be added to drush itself at some point, rendering this entire module obsolete.
