After upgrading to Drupal 7.43 (OpenAtrium) I get this error message repeated 3 times:

Notice: Undefined index: strip_tags_and_unescape in _options_prepare_options() (line 282 of /srv/bindings/a8bc1f888d1a48f5b07ec257f3f7ff82/code/modules/field/modules/options/options.module).

Just curious, how did you determine this is related to Biblio?

Seems unlikely that it is... the Select2 Field Widget module is in Open Atrium also, so probably it's caused by that and this is a duplicate of #2674470: Drupal 7.42 fix undefined index?

It only appears when creating biblio content. How ever as commented in #3 it could be Select2 Field Widget is being used.
