Hi there, I want to build a church community, where churches can be registered and member profiles can sign up under the church they belong to. Churches can share events and information with other churches. Is there any drupal script or plugin that can do something like this?

I don't normally recommend distros, but in this case I would take a took at the openoutreach and openchurch distributions. Depending on how 'independent' each church needs to be, you could use organic groups to represent a church, the domain module to create functionally 'separate' churches, or drupal multisite functionality to have completely independent sites for each church.
