Support for Drupal 7 is ending on 5 January 2025—it’s time to migrate to Drupal 10! Learn about the many benefits of Drupal 10 and find migration tools in our resource center.
Problem/Motivation
Recurly API Credentials no longer provides a transparent post key for new accounts, which makes the 7.x-1.x
branch practically obsolete for new users.
Proposed resolution
Work is underway on the 7.x-3.x
branch to integrate Recurly.js v4 #2683789: Update RecurlyJS library to v4. Once sufficient testing and fixes have occurred on 7.x-3.x
, we will make it the default release and deprecate both 7.x-1.x
and 7.x-2.x
.
Remaining tasks
- Testing and fixes on
7.x-3.x
. - Alpha/beta release of
7.x-3.x
. - Designate
7.x-3.x
as the default D7 release. - Deprecate
7.x-2.x
and7.x-1.x
.

markdorisonIt seems that you are correct, at least insofar that Recurly does no longer publicly provide the transparent post key (they used to hide it in their admin UI but I can no longer find it). I do know that existing keys continue to work and you may be able to request a transparent post key from them. That being said, we have a new alpha release of the 7.x-2.x branch and hopefully with some time and testing we can make that the official 7.x release branch.

aburke626FYI, you can still easily get a transparent post key - they just got rid of the link in the new UI. It's in the same place, at https://yousubdomain.recurly.com/developer/transparent_post

markdorison@aburke626: Thank you! In that case, downgrading priority to normal.
