I have migrated a site from D6 to D7. It uses Lightbox2 to view PDF files and html content. It always worked in Drupal 6 but not in 7. Instead of appearing in the Lightbox the file or content replaces the full current page. When I go back to the initiating page the page is sometimes greyed out and a lightbox-generated white block is overlaying the page. Clicking on the white box restores the page.

It acts like the Lightbox box part is functioning but does not capture the content it is supposed to display. Either Lightbox is partially functioning or another element is interfering with the process. I just upgraded to Lightbox 7.x-1.0-beta1+10-dev which performs the same.

Anyone had and solved this issue?

Thanks.

I suggest utilizing colorbox. Lightbox hasn't been updated in years.

if you continue to utilize lightbox, I suggest researching the issue queue of the module in question for similar reports. If none, create one.

Thanks VM. I installed Colorbox. I like the way it works for my images but, unfortunately, I don't think it can support my most important requirement. That is to pop up an iFrame that contains an html document or a .pdf file. The pdf file opens in raw binary, ie, as though it was an image file. Forget about the html.

Am I overlooking something or are there helper apps to work around these issues? What I liked about Lightbox2 is it's diversity but I agree with you in that I think the Lightbox developers have abandoned it.
