How do I create sub-questions or a groups of questions dependent on, or referencing, a prior question? Here's an example of what I am hoping to do in the attached image.

djdevinHi,
I think what you could do here is have a Page question (your "section"), containing those 3 questions.
Page 1
- Question 1
- Question 2
- Question 3
Page 2
- Question 4
- Question 5
- Question 6
A page also allows you to put in body text which would be displayed when you take the page.
You might have to do some CSS to get the indentation correct, but it will behave similarly.

djdevinHm what do you mean by "dependent"
Have you tried playing around with Quiz?
I think with a combination of Quiz pages and Quiz directions you could structure the Quiz the way you want.

iRex CreditAttribution: iRex commentedThanks djdevin! I've got it almost working the way I wanted. The 'dependent' stuff is like this:
Section A
1 Solve for x:
1.1 x+2x = 6
1.2 x-5+3x = 12
For section I used quiz page. For 1, I used quiz direction. And I created questions for 1.1, 1.2, etc.
Question is how to hide the titles in my quiz as indicated below:
Quiz page30 MARKS – 15 MINUTES
Quiz directions1.1 Various options are provided as possible answers to the following questions. Choose the answer and write only the letter (A–C) next to the question number (1.1.1–1.1.8) in the ANSWER BOOK, for example 1.1.9 C.
Question 1Multiple choice question1.1.1 In economics the term 'short run' refers to a period where … factors of production can change.
Choose one
A only variable
B all fixed
C both variable and fixed

djdevinTo hide those elements I think you may have to use CSS.
