On 12-21-15, my GSA stopped working, and began to show "The response from the search service was unreadable. Please try your search again. If the problem persists, please contact us."

Any suggestions of what it might be? I did not make any changes to the settings of the module.

Looks like the GSA is returning an HTML response (possibly a human-readable error message) rather than the expected XML response.
What happens when you go directly to this page (replacing the domain/host of the GSA with your actual GSA): http://your-gsa.domain.com/search?site=default_collection&client=default...

Thank you for the quick response, when I go to the gsa dirrect it works. We found the route cause was that someone changed the the network routing without notice and we needed a static ip for the gsa.
