Views exposed filters duplicate content

Hello,

I use views with exposed filters on some of my pages. I think it makes plenty of duplicate content on my site. I also use metatags module to have canonical urls to prevent duplicate content in my site. If I look at siteliner, it looks canonical urls work for me? Though I'm not sure.

Can you give me some advice to deal with this problem? Is it better to have just category pages instead of exposed filters for the sake of seo ?
