Drupal VS Wordpress

So its an argument I have been having with some developers for some time. Which is better Wordpress or Drupal.

I lean towards Wordpress as I can have a single page interactive site up in a few hours after proofs.

I am just wondering if I am missing a trick with Drupal?

For lower spec sites that don't need as much functionality or high performance, wordpress is better. For high functionality and high performance sites, Drupal is better.

Thanks for the quick reply I have recently remade the company website using Wordpress but feel that some of the functionality isn't there. I am happy with how Wordpress presents it but I am looking at re building it all from scratch in Drupal.

This one is iffy... Could be a spammer or could be someone legitimately wanting to rebuild in Drupal. Giving the poster the benefit of the doubt and I just removed the link but left the rest.

To the OP: If you really are interested in Drupal, welcome. I suggest leaving the link out of posts, though, as we get a lot of people who claim to want to know Drupal vs Wordpress as an excuse to spam.

Yeah it was genuine post sorry about the link I am genuinely interested in Drupal. Is there a way to migrate to it or would it be a straight new build?

For Drupal 7 there is the Wordpress Migrate module
