Hello friends. I am lowliest of the underclass colloquially known as n00bs, but damn it I'm making a website. I was wondering what modules you would recommend I start at to begin developing the website I have in mind. It doesn't need to be an indepth explanation, I'd just super appreciate some start point to work from, as currently I am quite out at sea.

The idea is thus: A user would fill out a form on the website. Several users whom have filled out forms with compatible answers are grouped together. Each are sent a Facebook and/or email notification to let them know of their successful grouping. At this point they can decide the form details they provided are no longer applicable and opt out, deleting the grouping. If everyone still stands by their form answers The users are then given a link to a private forum where only they can post about the grouping they have received together.

I recognise that's an exceptionally obtuse abstract explanation, it's just that I'm %100 sure if I tell you it's application, someone far smarter than me will make the website in one 1/8th of the time and I'll get scooped. Thank you very much for your time. The process of learning about and installing Drupal has been challenging and interesting.

You may benefit by working through the book Using Drupal, which will get you up to speed quite quickly on site-building, and introduce a lot of useful modules.

Many thanks. I'll look into that.
