I'm finding that this module does not present the image preview on which to draw the hotspots, but does display the widget box with hotspot title, etc. with which to add hotspots, only there is no image so you can't add any.

It may be a conflict with the ImageField Focus module used to provide a preview image on which a user can draw a rectangle to set the focus area that will try to be included in every image style that contains the Image Focus and Crop action, as well as a second rectangle for setting a crop.

I'd really like to use this Image Hotspots module as I didn't care for how Annotate/Annotations worked. Is there any chance this module could be tweaked to work along with ImageField Focus? I don't mind if there are two separate previews but it would be nice if this module autodetected the presence of ImageField Focus and created two tabs, one for hotspots and one for focus and crop with focus and crop being first. If all 3 rectangles could be on one preview image that would be nice as well but I'd think you'd need to color code the rectangle lines with a legend title for "Focus" "Crop" "Hotspots".

Hello, deanflory.

The 'Image preview' does not contain the additional style. It can change the size only, so indicate, that image is loaded correctly. The 'image_hotspot_default' style change the size of preview and work the 'Image hotspots' module with the 'Views'.

Just to make sure I'm understanding you clearly, you're saying to integrate Image hotspots into some View for the image field?

Yes, if you create views includes nodes with hotspots, it will appear on the page or in the block.

I'm not sure we're on the same page here. I'm talking about when editing a node and editing an image that has been uploaded to an image field, there is no image preview that allows one to mark a hotspot if you're using ImageField Focus. ImageField Focus has it's preview that allows a person to mark a focus rectangle and a crop rectangle, but there is no separate preview that allows hotspot marking. There is a small preview (how I've set it up) that is the default preview, but it does not have hotspot functionality that I can tell, so where is the hotspot preview that is used to set hotspots on images?

Your instructions about a View seem to be about the Display and not the Editing of an image, or is there some highly technical way to create a view that acts as an image field?

We checked on the node editing the page, you can edit the image. It can be clearly seen in the screenshot.

I don't see the ImageField Focus coordinates fields around there anywhere. Was your test done with ImageField Focus AND with Image Hotspots enabled and used at the same time on the same image field? It doesn't look like it.

Hi, deanflory!

Unfortunately, "Image Hotspots" is really incompatible with ImageField Focus module. But we do not plan update this module, there are more priority tasks at the moment. If we release new versions, we will try to take into account your recommendations.

Regards
