custom markers to theme path breaks page

hello,

when i try to set the path of my custom markers to my theme directory the map page totally breaks. yet, if i replace the markers in the ip_geoloc folder with my own they work fine. any idea what would cause this to happen? i would not mind but everytime i do a site rebuild with drush make i have to manually replace the markers in the module directory so i figured about after the 20th time of doing this i might just ask if anybody else has encountered this issue or knows what might be the cause. thanks.
