Improvements in Drupal 8 are really amazing both philosophy and architecture. With this new version I'm very happy to have opted exclusively for this platform. Congratulations to all the people that have developed over the years. Your work is fantastic!!

Surely I will be wrong, but in a first contact, I was surprised a decision I think is a step back in user experience from the point of view of site builders.

I mean, during the process of creating a content type and their corresponding fields on the D7 version you could add a new field directly or use an existing one from the same page of content type.

Now, however, when you want to create a new field you must make a double click. On the page where the content type fields are listed can not add directly the field that you want. I fact, a new page is opened. I think this double click will become annoying when you need to create a significant amount of content types, and each of them, with several fields.

I apologize in advance if it can be changed: I have not been able to find in the management settings.

Thanx!!

While there is an extra click or two to create fields on a content type, I don't believe it's a step backwards for site builders. In fact, I think it's a step forward. Compare the two screens in D7 and D8. The D7 screen can be said to be more complex and disorienting. When used to the method in D7, I can understand the method in D8 to seem more clunky. However, new users won't be so confused about what they are doing when first exposed.

Did you checked current version of D8. There is a separate button available for adding a new field for content type. Yes there is some changes in flow compare to D7 to D8 for adding fields. But its not complex for understanding the UI.
