I enabled clean URLs succesfully but now, images in gif format and images and files with "-" or "_" are not loaded in drupal site.
I can access these images and files with path.
I really appreciate any suggestions.

you added an .htaccess file? meaning you didn't utilize the one that ships with core?

how are the images/gifs added to the site? via an imagefield? a texteditor? hardcoded into a body text are, or theme file?

please elaborate.

i copied an old version of .htaccess file because the one shipped with drupal core 7.41 causes a 500 internal server error on my server. But is htaccess file that comes with an old version of drupal, only changes +FollowSymLinks to add IfOwnerMatch.

The images are in sites/all/images, hardcoded into a body text area. Images of theme like background images are succesfully loaded. But, if i check the path of a not loaded image and put the url in the browser i can see the image perfectly.

I managed to configure the new version of htaccess to avoid 500 internal server error and everything works well. Thank you!.
