base field titles/ descriptions are currently not helpful, just an example:

    $fields['uuid'] = BaseFieldDefinition::create('uuid')
      ->setLabel(t('UUID'))
      ->setDescription(t('The node UUID.'))

This is not an improvement IMHO, ... the description should either add value or just be empty.

Well it can't be empty because then you get "Error: missing help text" in Views :)
Most field descriptions in core and contrib are redundant and unneeded.

Well, I think we could simply distinct between empty aka '' and empty aka not set.

Appears in #4 it was brought up as not needed and the error in #5 I don't see.
