Common cartridge package

Hi all,

I have a drupal website which has the details of various education opportunities in the country. The requirement from my client is that I have to bundle certain pages from my existing drupal site into a {common cartridge package} which will be deployed in other websites(not drupal). The package should have html and a linking XMLs to act as standalone in any system. I have to update these packages via crons too. Can somebody shed some light on how and where I should start?
