When a node are saved with new changes, it's clearer to include which fields were changed in the email.
Hopefully, the Subscription modules will include this function.

I agree that this would be a nice feature, but diff'ing revisions would require the diff module, which outputs HTML, i.e. this would probably have to be sent as HTML email, and this is something that we cannot afford to support actively.

I'm leaving this open in case someone has an ingenious idea and wants to take a stab, but talk to me about your strategy before you start to invest time and effort.

Personally, I think the chances are very slim that this can be realized in a sustainable way.
