"I had initial discussions about PB porting to Drupal 8 with @andypost. As I see it now, we should wait a little bit until https://www.drupal.org/project/page_manager will be ported" @kalabro

frederickjhAny update on a time table to port Path Breadcrumbs to Drupal 8? I have used this module in Drupal 7 and loved your work there!

frederickjhFor anyone else finding this I figured out that Easy Breadcrumb plus the default breadcrumbs in Drupal 8 will do what this module did in Drupal 7. See this blog post "Drupal 8 Breadcrumbs - Add the Current Page by Greg Boggs.

rcodina CreditAttribution: rcodina commented@frederickjh Easy Breadcrumb is not enough in some cases. Path Breadcrumbs is fully customizable and is what I need in most websites.

Jill L@kalabro Page manager is still in beta, but I find myself needing Path Breadcrumbs more and more with Drupal 8. The other breadcrumb modules aren't flexible enough and I always end up writing custom code for my breadcrumbs.
Can you explain the reasoning behind waiting for page_manager? I'm willing to help code if it's needed.

frederickjh@rcodina can you please explain what Path Breadcrumbs does that Easy Breadcrumbs does not?
In my experience if you have your paths correct Easy Breadcrumbs will display correctly. It displays the page title in the breadcrumb.
Of course if you are trying to do things where sections of the path are non-existent you will not get the results that you want. For each level of the breadcrumb you need a path section.
Bread crumbs like:
Home > First > Second > Third > Fourth
Should have a path something like:
http://example.com/first/second/third/fourth
Page titles and paths for this example would be:
First /first
Second /first/second
Third /first/second/third
Fourth /first/second/third/fourth
Greetings,
Frederick

rcodina CreditAttribution: rcodina commented@frederickjh Of course, Path Breadcrumbs works for me in cases where customer wants a breadcrumb which is different to the current path. So I find myself to build custom breadcrumbs module for every D8 web I build.

rcodina CreditAttribution: rcodina commented@frederickjh It's just that Path Breadcrumbs allows you to do build the breadcrumb you want given a path. And that gives users a lot of freedom to do what they want/need.
