Use workflow to send automated email after user creates five different discussions

I want to send an automated personal message to members of our Drupal community after they have added five different new discussions or five reactions to existing discussion topics. I would like to use the workflow and rules module to achieve this, but don't know how to configure it. Can someone help me configure the rule, the condition and the action to get to this point?
