I had a almost nice working sub theme in drupal 8.x dev
Upgraded to drupal 8 RC2
The css is not loaded anymore after the upgrade.
No errors in /var/log/apache2/error.log
in drupal log
Warning: Illegal offset type in Drupal\Component\Utility\Html::getClass() (regel 60 van /core/lib/Drupal/Component/Utility/Html.php).
User error: "name" is an invalid render array key in Drupal\Core\Render\Element::children() (regel 102 van /core/lib/Drupal/Core/Render/Element.php).
Could not find any other errors.
Vanilla drupal 8 install, no extra modules except for devel
Just upgraded and wanted to let you know.

I believe this is the issue fixed in http://cgit.drupalcode.org/adaptivetheme/commit/?id=f1c6a8c - this was committed Oct 12th, however the change in Drupal core it pertains to would not have become apparent until you updated to RC2.
Try updating the base theme and that should resolve the issue, I can't replicate the warning or error.
