Hello,

To start, i'm sorry for my english, i will try to do my best !

I want to set up a website about my passion for video games.

Maybe you know it, but many people live from videogames vidéo and streaming. I don't want to live from this, but i want to have my own website.

So, that's why i'm here. I want to use Drupal, because in the video games world, there is many "trolls" and hackers. A friend said me that Drupal is the best CMS for security. in his opinion Drupal is "bulletproof", and that's why i want to try drupal.

Problem is : Since i'm a beginner with Drupal, do you think it can be possible to setup a website with this features :
- Blog (easy, i know)
- own streaming video
- Intern forum
- And i have an idea about a contest features. But i will see at the end if i can implement it.

Thanks in advance for you opinion.

(By the way, i'm a wordpress user, is Drupal really hard to use if i know i little Wordpress ?)

You may enjoy working through the book Using Drupal before you get started - it will give you a great sense of the right way to do things and the range of possibilities.

You're right, the Blog part is straightforward.

Streaming video will be more of a server issue than anything; I usually advise clients to host their video elsewhere (YouTube channel, Vimeo, Wistia, etc) and embed the video links on their pages rather than trying to stream from their hosting account. You need a lot of bandwidth and server space otherwise.
You can still make videos play inside your pages even if they're hosted elsewhere.

Forums are also pretty simple - use Drupal's built in Forum module, or Advanced Forum, or integrate with phpBB if you prefer.

There isn't a script on the planet that is "bulletproof".
