I am new to this and install the drupal and downloaded the paypal modules, my question is how do i install them on my site and get my paypal donate info listed? please help thank you

start with the README.txt file and INSTALL.txt file of the modules that you've downloaded.
beyond that, if you want specific help for a specific module you will need to mention the module and the version you are using so others also using it can help.

it didnt come with a install
it didnt come with a install file . the read me file only stated the name of the file and that was it.... i downloaded the donation-5.x-1.0.tar.gz and the simple_paypal-5.x-1.0.tar.gz these are the 2 files i download ....all i need help with is how to get it on my website? thank you

extract the module folders from the .tar.gz archive
upload the entire folder to sites/all/modules (you will have to create the modules folder)
goto administer -> modules
enable the module
done

ok, i uploaded them to my cpanel using ftp, and when i went bk to the drupal site for to enable them it says there not compatible with version 6.2 drupal, now what do i do?

Well the first thing you can do is tag your threads correctly so others can warn you when they answer. This thread is tagged 5.x
Drupal 5.x modules will not work with Drupal 6.x
your options are:
Install Drupal 5.x so you can use the modules available for Drupal 5.x
port the modules from Drupal 5.x to Drupal 6.x if you have the skillset
pay someone to port them
wait until they are ported
