I see both message(set by username_enumeration_prevention) module and error message on user password reset form.
a_thakur created an issue. See original summary.
Closing works as designed.
Re-opening as I think this is indeed a bug - the module is sending a successfully sent email message to the user even if there is a validation failure upon submission of the forgot password form (when there is a wrong captcha answer for example) this message should rather be sent upon successful submission of the form than always shown in the validation callback.
Attaching a patch for review.
Removing outdated image in favour of a more relevant one.
This patch no longer cleanly applies to 7.x-1.x. @Arnaud Kali do you mind re-rolling? Thank you.
Hi @badjava - Thanks for your comment.
Patch re-rolled - see patch attached to this comment.
Wrong patch uploaded. Re-uploading.
I have had the same issue with validation failure on another element than a Captcha. Thanks for the 2587683-limit-error-message-to-be-shown-only-on-submit-instead-of-validation.patch of comment #10 which is working fine for me against version 7.x-1.2.
I am looking forward to see it merged in the near future!
RTBC - we are running the patch from #10 and it fixes the issue.
