I would like to become a maintainer of the User Expire module. Will work on porting this module to Drupal 8. And will fix d7 issues.

gregglesI'm not a maintainer of the module, but I just want to express what I think about this issue as a user of the module :)
When someone offers to maintain a module, I think it's appropriate for them to demonstrate their experience with the module in the issue queue first. I encourage you to go through the current queue and review patches, provide patches for some bugs, reply to support requests, etc. Those are all things that you can do before you have commit access to the module. Once you've done that, you will have demonstrated your skill as a maintainer and it should be a more straightforward process for you to be granted maintainer access.

gregglesErik and I had a brief discussion on twitter and he's made me a maintainer (see attached).
I'd love to have more help, though!
I created #2586719: Preparing for 7.x-1.3 release to help us coordinate.
If you can help review those issues and work on any other issues in the queue that interest you it would be great.

gregglesSince there's a new more active maintainer I'm going to mark this fixed.
If you're still interested, please help work in the queue a bit and reopen this issue.

gregglesIf you prefer to write code, #2587303: Notify users if their account will be locked due to inactivity is wide open.
