Some requirements I'm missing?

This module seems really simple to set up and use, but I've had no luck. I was able to add a field to my content type, with BackgroundField as the "Field Type" but nothing shows on the page, when I add an image.

Other than installing the module, is there another step to complete? I believe jQuery needs to be 1.7 or higher, and I've done that via jQuery update.
