alternate page--full-width-wrapper.tpl.php

I'm using Adaptive theme with Panels. I am using the page--full-width-wrapper.tpl.php. I have background images assigned to different regions in this full-width tpl.php. But on other pages, say other content types, I would like to change those backgrounds in the template. I need the backgrounds full width and not just for the content region.

I could do this on a content type basis. So is the right approach to somehow rename the page--full-width-wrapper.tpl.php per my node somehow and create a preprocess function in template.tpl.php?

If so, would it be: exampecontenttype--full-width-wrapper.tpl.php ?

Any help you an provide would be appreciated.
