I'm contacting you on behalf of Smile, the company I work for, because we are using expire. If possible we'd like to know if there is an ETA for the stable release of expire. This is because, we'd like to release our project with only stable modules.

It would be great to get a full release. Are the maintainers active or are new volunteers needed?

Maintainers are here, however there's no spare time to work on the release. I'll be happy to commit any valuable patches done by volunteers.

I suggest tagging 7.x-2.x as 7.x-2.0-rc5. If no release-blocker issues come up in 2 weeks, make it a full release. Further changes can go into 2.1.
