I've added the 'form-item' class to the function 'theme_date_popup'.
Without this class, there is no spacing between around date_popup form items. This has the effect of utilizing the default drupal spacing between form items.

KarenS CreditAttribution: KarenS commentedThere is now a div with a form-item class wrapped around the popup element. That may or may not have been in place at the time this was posted, but at any rate, I don't think this is needed any more.
