Hi everybody!

I'm Shawn, and I'm completely new to Drupal.

I've been asked by a client to make some minor (seemingly) changes to their existing site. I thought it was going to be a snap, but then I found out they are running on Drupal, and I've never used it before.

My question is this; How do I get started? I need to change some images in a portfolio gallery for the client. That's it. Do I need to install Drupal on my local server? What would be the next steps?

Any help would be amazing, and thank you to all!

Shawn

The answer is going to depend on how the portfolio gallery is implemented.

Is that a public page you can post a link to?

This is going to come off as a bit flippant, but...

How do I get started?

You post a job listing for someone who knows Drupal, and get them to make the changes. It's really easy to do things a bad way in Drupal, which isn't good for the client. You're doing the client a disservice by taking on Drupal work without knowing Drupal. Likely, you'll be doing yourself a disservice as well, as it will likely create a bunch of headaches for you.

This is honest advice, even if it comes off as being rude.
