I cannot get previous-next-up links work in a book.
I tried using modules book_helper and book_made_simple to no avail.
At present these modules have been uninstalled and deleted from code base since they did not provide desired functionality.
I can get the book navigation block work OK.
I have checked several times that book outline and links were correctly set and they are, otherwise book navigation block would not work.
Problem is links.
Thank you.

Attached screenshot shows the working next / previous page links for a book in gratis theme.
Issue is not with the books module or gratis theme. Make sure you are creating the parent item properly.

I cannot see where to add child page in book outline.
I have searched everywhere in my book and it is not there.
Here is link to the book: asflorida.com/content/guide-foreign-investors
Good to know that gratis theme is compatible, although I cannot see how to manipulate pages so that links show.

ckosloff CreditAttribution: ckosloff commentedWorking on a book, I suddenly saw the links appear on just ONE page.
There is nothing special on that page, except that the previous page has weight 0 and does not show in navigation block.
But that is not the case in other books, where page 1 does not show links.
Can anybody explain this weird phenomenon?

april26 CreditAttribution: april26 commentedI only have next and previous links on pages that are specifically of the content type "book pages". I added a News item to a book, and that doesn't have next and previous links. I assume the template for a news page doesn't include that footer.
