Entered pattern not working

Nothing I enter into the pattern field for my entity has any affect on the entity - I need some help.

I'm developing a site to allow people to register for a class using the Registration module. I can use Pathauto to set the url alias for the class node (class/[node:title]) without a problem, and I'd like to set the registration path to (class/registration-type//register) rather than the default but cannot.

Note - I did check the box next to "registrations" in the "Entities" tab...

First, since I don't seem to have access to the [node:nid] in the registration entity pattern section I'm not exactly sure which token to use for in the desired registration path described above. Is that correct?

Second, if I could get a pattern - any pattern - to show up after entering it, I'd just experiment to find out which of the available tokens makes most sense to use for , but since I can't get any pattern to work at all I've got no way to experiment.

Hence the need to ask for help...

I suspect the module works just fine and there's something I'm missing in my understanding of how this is supposed to work. Any help at all, or links to documentation that might enlighten me will be much appreciated.
