How do I import a schedule (programmatically)?

I have read the discussions about making Backup and Migrate feature aware and so on. And I also noticed that I can export a schedule through admin/config/system/backup_migrate/schedule/export/[schedule-name].

But how can I import a previously exported schedule? I Can't find that neither in the documentation, on the module's page nor in the issue queue.

It is especially interesting for me to know if there is a way to import schedules through Drush or code (programmatically).
