Using Taxonomy on Form

I'm not seeing that this is possible at this time, but would welcome any clarification on this.

I'd like to have a taxonomy for an entityform type. I have a number of entityform types I am creating and I want a way to "categorize" these form types like: all forms that are annual reports, all forms that are for the importing of wild game trophies, all forms dealing with endangered animals, etc.

I do not see a way to add a taxonomy term to the base entityform. I can add a term reference to the fields in the form, but then I can only create a view based on the *submission* of the form. Does anyone know of a way to attach the base entityform type to a taxonomy?
