Course not granting access to next object when access based on grade

When I have access to a course object based on the grade of the previous object (a passed quiz), access is not granted. The course progress of passed quiz still shows 'in progress'. The passed quiz in question has an end time, is evaluated, has a result ID, and quiz state is finished; but it still shows 'in progress' in the course progress so the next course object doesn't grant access.
